Because of the generosity of area businesses, residents and visitors, the Lakers Lions have donated over 1.5 million dollars to a variety of needs in our community. 100% of the contributions from our supporters are returned to this community and several Lions Service Projects such as World Disaster Relief, the Minnesota Eye Bank, Minnesota Diabetes Foundation, Minnesota Hearing Foundation and the Lions Leader Dog program. This graph represents the distribution of funds during the past four years.
In addition, our Club has contributed over $14,000 to Project New Hope during the past four years. These funds come entirely from the Mike Wilder Memorial Golf Tournament specifically for Minnesota veterans. Project New Hope is a program which provides combat veterans and their families with the education, training and skills necessary to manage their lives after wartime service.
The largest share of our local donations has gone to our youth programs, especially the Scholarship Program for local students.
Administration expenses for International, Multiple District, District and the Local Club are supported entirely by the Club members.
THANK YOU for your generosity!
